An ode to the wonderful poets out there.

You weave magical lines from nothing
from the emptiness that try to devour you,
from the darkness that engulfs you,
from the void of infinity and beyond,
speaking to your heart
straining your ears to listen to the roaring silence
and embellishing it with your alluring verses
Silence which I considered nothing
now has deep meanings for me.
It speaks volumes of hidden emotions
so now I actually try to read between your lines
to fathom the lacuna of your silent thoughts.
The non existent breaks in your lines speak of a story hidden
a story stifled by suppressed emotions,
sometimes a surreal reverie,
or the pang of bittersweet memories,
or the evanescence of time,
bleeding words on a blank page
the enigmatic silent spaces in between your verses
describing the inexplicable feeling of a heart forlorn
conjuring stardust from nothings
concocting mellifluous phrases
which makes way into people’s hearts
and sometimes transform into trickles.
